25 BOND

25 Bond, completed is 2007, is widely regarded as one of the most iconic loft buildings in New York City, and it was Manhattan’s first loft project in the “Super-Luxury” category.  This 80,000 square foot masterpiece, contains only nine homes, measuring between 4,000 and 11,000 square feet, a 50-space private parking garage, and 2 retail shops. Hewn from Jerusalem limestone, bronze and glass, 25 Bond was originally designed as a custom residence for a group of Wall Street financiers from Goldman Sachs, and their families.  Over the years celebrities, such as Will Smith, have made it their home.  The powerful, hand chiseled limestone facade features two shifting planes of subtly different tones, set off against a backdrop of glass and bronze, and seems to grow naturally from the rugged cobblestone of Bond Street.  The transition from rough to refined is navigated by an artistic granite slab sidewalk, featuring the carving of legendary Soho street artist, Ken Hiratsuka.  From its elegant lobby, and concierge desk designed by John Houshmand, to its soaring limestone and bronze chimneys, 25 Bond resonates with a timeless elegance and quality of craftsmanship that is second to none.  25 Bond was awarded the 2008 AIA Housing Design Award, the 2008 Pinnacle Award and the 2008 Multi-Housing News Design Excellence Award.”  25 Bond is one of the most prestigious addresses in all of Manhattan.
